Another day of hard work for the Alice Team riders on the Mugello circuit.

In the first hour of work of the day, with almost perfect track conditions, Sylvain Guintoli seemed to have solved the problem encountered yesterday ending the session with the eighth best lap time.

But in the afternoon, with the track completely dry, the French rider didn't make it to go further than the seventeenth position also due to some technical problems. He will therefore start the race between his Team-mate Toni Elias, who is one position ahead of him, and the other Ducati rider, Marco Melandri, who complete the sixth row in eighteenth position.

A pity for the Catalan rider who didn't make it to use the last qualifying tyre in the last fast lap at his disposal due to the intense traffic found on the Tuscan circuit. Elias has lived another hard day, always searching for a good familiarity with his Ducati.

Tomorrow the track should be completely dry helping the Alice Team in the research of the best set up of the bike during the warm up. The start of the Alice Grand Prix of Italy is set at 2pm local time.

Fabiano Sterlacchini – Technical director
“This morning with Sylvain we found a good set up of the bike, but in the afternoon we have encountered some problem with the bike he preferred the most and he couldn't maintain the same rhythms. Now we have to check what happened to give back to Sylvain a competitive bike. For what it concern Toni Elias, he surely didn't have his best day. In the afternoon we have sensibly improved even if on this track we want to do much more.
Tomorrow morning during warm up we will have another possibility to try other setting solutions to climb the classification”

Toni Elias – Alice Team rider (16th best lap time in 1'49.851 – Total laps 22)
“It isn't surely an easy situation and we can't hide it. Me, my Team, Ducati and Bridgestone are doing all we can to be able to fight for better positions. This afternoon things went slightly better and we are trustful to be in the conditions to fight for the top ten in tomorrow's race. This is a really nice track where motivations can give you an extra push. I feel good and I am determinate: I also want to have some fun tomorrow.”

Sylvain Guintoli – Alice Team rider (17th best lap time in 1'50.275 – Total laps 22)
